1970 Corvette
Convertible
C4 Black Rose
Metallic exterior (originally Donnybrooke Green), Saddle cloth
interior (originally Saddle leather), matching hardtop, Black
convertible top. NOM 350hp 350ci engine, 4 speed manual
transmission, posi rear-end. This is truly a unique C3 with some
nice features. Additionally, this car has been well documented
since its most recent owner purchased it in 1989. Furthermore, this
car received a frame-off restoration which began in 1989 and
commenced in 1992. The engine is a 4 bolt main 350 and shows a
1970s casting number. It received a fresh rebuild roughly 4500
miles ago, at which time both the transmission and rear-end were
also rebuilt. The seats in this car are quite nice as they have
been recovered in plush cloth and are very comfortable. Although
originally equipped with air conditioning, the compressor, drier,
and lines have since been removed but are available. A JVC cassette
stereo has been installed, which is linked to a set of Clarion 6x9s
that sit in the back of the vehicle. Factory options for this car
include air conditioning, deluxe interior, and power steering. The
carpet in this vehicle looks to have been replaced somewhat
recently, and shows a cut pile pattern. Original door panels are
showing some wear and are missing the wood inserts. Paint on this
car is very good to excellent, with very little orange peel and few
to no scratches or blemishes. Hardtop is in good shape with the
exception of the underside trim panel which is badly cracked and
should probably be replaced to make this a show car. Front chrome
bumper looks excellent with no pitting, but the rears are showing
some scratches and wear. Convertible top looks to be newer. This
car rides on BF Goodrich radial tires as well. Several upgrades
have been made to this car, including Jet-Hot coated Hedmann
longtube headers, chrome valve covers, and a chrome fan. Original
ignition shielding looks to be in place.
